I can’t believe I’m seeing this here. I’m a former hippie who was in college when this came out and remember well its impact. Never been sure since becoming Catholic whether I should listen to it or not, but now and then I do. “Some are born to sweet delight / Some are born to the endless night”…seductive stuff.

But this album doesn’t have ‘Don’t you love her madly,’ which is a travesty.

Yeah, the Doors were definitely evil. Their songs were annoyingly repetitive with the same chords over and over (the worst disco hits had more creativity). Jim Morrison’s voice was so monotone and dull he made the teacher in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” sound operatic by comparison. Lyrics? “Come on baby light my fire, try to set the night on fi-re-re-re.” Come on… my five year old niece is more creative and intellectual than that.

You are very funny. Can I request some skynard or allman brothers? Free bird?
