_“Was informed that the Salesian priest, Fr.Tom who was kidnapped by ISIS from the Missionaries of Charity Home in Yemen is being tortured and is going to be crucified on Good Friday. This calls for serious concerted prayers from all of us.”

Let @Pontifex know.
I am beginning a new journey, on Instagram, to walk with you along the path of mercy and the tenderness of God. — Pope Francis (@Pontifex) March 19, 2016

Vatican plunges itself into darkness for World Wildlife Fund
just in time for the start of Holy Week.
Because, optics!
_St Peter’s Basilica is among many world famous landmarks that will be switching off the lights on its facade and dome for an hour on Saturday evening, from 8.30 to 9.30 pm, to mark “Earth Hour” and show its concern for the future of our planet. The lights around the colonnade of St. Peter’s Square will also be turned off at the same time.

Because the Mass is not about you
Don’t put your hands up when you pray in Church.
Jimmy Akin, helpfully telling us things that any idiot could figure out for himself if he just googled hard enough…
“Hey, look at meeeeeeee!!!! Errybody! look at meeeeeee!!!”
Yeah, not hard to intuit that one.
Harder in the Novusordo I guess.

Gallantly they chickened out
I was going to write a whole big thing today… really. It was going to be great.
Spent the whole weekend outdoors, gardening and stomping around the countryside collecting hops rhizomes and wild brassicas for the garden and was going to boast about being middle aged and robustly healthy… outdoorsy…
But that was yesterday. Today’s all about being chilled and nauseated. Maybe it’s part of my new Old Person Thing collection, which is getting fairly sizable.

Well, that’s that problem solved!
Holy crap, you guys!
So, the thing I was all worried about is no longer worth worrying about. And I am very grateful.
Heck, I might even reinstate my innernet at home… Oh wait, no.
Too many to send notes to individually, but y’all know who you are. I shall proudly be paying the full bill to Unigas next week. And it’s just in time to have spring arrive and resolve the problem for several months.

I could use a little help
I could.
I’ve got about 800 Euros behind on my gas bill.
A priest friend posted the following on his FB page:
TEN COUNSELS
FOR STAYING CATHOLIC
DURING A CALAMITOUS PONTIFICATE
1. Stay Calm
At the time when the boat is sinking, to become hysterical is very human, but this doesn’t solve even the smallest problem. It is only when we are calm that we can make fitting decisions for each situation, and avoid those that we will regret later.

And it’s TWO HUNDRED pages long!
How many hundreds, Eminence?
That’s right.
You guys read all of … ummm… what was that thing called again? Evangelii Gaudium, right?… yeah, I bet we all read every single world, right? Because Pope Francis is such a joy to read.
94. This worldliness can be fuelled in two deeply interrelated ways. One is the attraction of gnosticism, a purely subjective faith whose only interest is a certain experience or a set of ideas and bits of information which are meant to console and enlighten, but which ultimately keep one imprisoned in his or her own thoughts and feelings.

Pope Quitty McQuitterson gives interview, says obvious things
looking worried … about missing lunch
Apparently Pope Benedict has come out of seclusion to tell us all some things we already knew.
Again.
Hey, remember when we thought it was all going to turn out OK in the end?
Heh. Good times.
The crowd went wild!
Kind of the Disney version of reality, wasn’t it? Always a happy ending and all plot threads neatly tied up.

I’m so excited!!
[The cardinal,][1] whose [“serene”] theology Pope Francis has often lauded, went on to say that in the document the Holy Father will “definitively express himself on family issues addressed during the last Synod, and in particular on the participation of the divorced and remarried faithful in the active life of the Catholic community.”
He added that the apostolic exhortation will represent “the first step in a reform” that will mark the “turning of a page” in the Church’s history “after 1,700 years.

Reason 123, 456
There are, in fact, nearly an infinite number of reasons Vatican II and all it spawned was the worst catastrophe the Christian world has experienced since the French Revolution. As many as there are or will be human souls, I guess.
Perhaps one of the worst was the destruction of the religious orders. A self-wrought disaster equivalent to Henry VII’s dissolution of the monasteries… except more global.
This total sweep of religious orders by the virus of novusordoism has left all the ladies looking for a suitable port in a storm.
