Happy Star Wars Day, America!
I saw it in Rome on Wednesday, and … I don’t know how to convey this adequately, except to quote the one guy in the audience at the end
“That was ____ing AWESOME!!!” I got on a VERY early bus from home on Wednesday morning, got to the City by ten, we took a cab to the (ridiculously tiny and out-of-the-way) theatre for the first afternoon show.

Like a roaring lion, seeking whom to devour…
“Be sober and watch: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, goeth about seeking whom he may devour. Whom resist ye, strong in faith: knowing that the same affliction befalls your brethren who are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us into his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, will himself perfect you, and confirm you, and establish you.

Oh yeah, he’s just seething with righteous Catholic outrage…
I’m sure he’s going to jump right on out and rescue us…

“I saw the relationship between the two Popes. I saw how baleful would be the consequences of this false church. I saw it increase in size; heretics of every kind came into the city (of Rome). ” – Anne Catherine Emmerich

Err… I thought “our common home” is heaven
Immaculate Heart of Mary – intercede for us, poor sinners Our good friend Maria Joanna Madise, the director of Voice of the Family (the faithful lay organisation that drove the Synod Manipulators nuts) comments:
“The rehearsal of this ‘light show’ on St Peter’s square is one of the most chilling things I have seen recently. Light of the World Bank illuminating the Basilica in darkness.”
_The Catholic Church, founded to shed the light of Christ on the world, has quite literally invited the world to shed its light on her.

De-stupidification: put the iphone DOWN
Here’s a little taste of my latest for The Remnant on my experience of being (mostly) unplugged for two weeks.
_After fifteen years of steady and steadily increasing daily internet use, I can report that I have experienced actual withdrawal symptoms when I finally got fed up – mainly with myself – and cut it off in November. I had become accustomed to texting and chatting with my friends on Facebook and Skype, exchanging articles, information, witticisms and confidences every day, several times a day.

Shoulda walked out, boys, while you still had some credibility: “one month before the opening of the Synodal assembly, the Post-Synodal Exhortation was ready”
First, let’s just get this out of the way…
~
Today Rorate helpfully helps to clarify…
“Will there be a Post-Synodal Exhortation … it was already completely ready before the Synod … blah blah blah… usual suspects... yadda-yadda… Baldisseri, Bruto Forte, Paglia (one of the “good guys” under Benedict… tee hee!) blahblablabbity-blah… well-constructed plan … instrumentum laboris… blahblahblah…
“…without waiting for the meeting of the Synod at all, the Pope published a double text, … greatest secret … reform the Code of Canon Law …procedures of the declarations of nullity…Shocked canonists…grounds for ‘mercy’ were prepared…”

Musical interlude – everything was better in the Before Time
They used to play all these movies on TV after school when I was a kid. One year they had a Road Movie festival, and I watched Bing and Bob tap dance around the world.
Speaking of awesome 70s after-school tv…
There. Cheered up a little?
