Pope calls off Christmas
We must have been bad children.
Or maybe he just figured Christmas is over now that he’s finished his own list of public browbeatings and has run out of creative insults to fling at his employees, officials and assorted serfs.

Power in the wrong hands
I remember my mother once commenting that this very famous episode of the Twilight Zone was a perfect illustration of the dangers of giving children power. I suppose that counts for moral children as well. This scene in particular reminds me of what happens when you confront these guys.
Here is my favourite bit from my piece yesterday at OnePeterFive, with another helpful visual aid.
The fact that the new Anti-Rational Paradigm has not yet received proper submission was demonstrated by the pointing and laughing at this absurdity in his Twitter feed.

I’m not even sure myself what the joke is this time
but I bet it’s a good one.
Seriously, I swear I just found this lying around the innernets.
Make of it what you will.

Knights of Malta: Dear Pope Francis, mind your own business
… because it’s not like you haven’t got things to think about, amirite?
_The Grand Magistry of the Sovereign Order of Malta, in response to the activities being carried out by a Group appointed by the Secretary of State of the Vatican, considers it appropriate to reiterate that the replacement of the former Grand Chancellor was an internal act of the government of the Order._
Thus, considering the legal irrelevance of this Group and of its findings relating to the legal structure of the Order of Malta, the Order has decided that it should not cooperate with it.

How many fingers am I holding up now, punk?!
Or maybe you need another little TRIP DOWN THE STAIRS TO CLARIFY YOUR THOUGHTS!

Sneak peek of my latest for One Peter Five:
How many fingers is the pope holding up now?
Amoris Laetitia and submission
We are seeing, increasingly, that in the Church it is Positivism that is the philosophical foundation of the post-conciliar revolution. This is why we who write about this situation have started using the term “Papal Positivism” for the idea that the pope can, through some kind of mystical power granted by his office, decide that it is time to change Eucharistic practice to oppose Eucharistic doctrine.

Bye NuChurch…
Sorry to say, it wasn’t nice knowing you. Not at all.
I realize things have been pretty Norcia-y around here, and not really very much about the incredible melt-down we’re now all watching in fascinated horror, of Francis-Church.
Believe me, I’m paying attention.
Here’s my thing for One Peter Five, that I’m told got quite a lot of attention among bishops, including in Rome.
And here’s my other thing for the Remnant, about the incredible escalation by Francismouthpiece Patriarch Bartholomew, who pretty much said that Amoris Laetitia is giving Pope Francis a license to re-write Trinitarian doctrine.

Bad news and good news
I got an email from my realtor in Norcia who says my house has been declared “inagibile” by the civil engineers. There’s structural damage that wasn’t immediately evident when I was running about throwing the kitties in their carry-box.
This means it’s going to be a lot longer to go home than I had first anticipated. The good news is that the municipality has suspended all taxes and utilities and is footing the bill for rents and compensation for people stuck without a home.

Last days
Just some pics. The garden, wildflowers, a hike I took up Monte Patino with some friends days before the quakes started in August, and Norcia’s last morning.

We did it!!
The other day I posted a note from a friend in Norcia who runs a business that gives internet and other kinds of computer-related services to most of the town. His shop was in the centro right next to the Basilica and he has been unable to get it going again since the whole town has been red-zoned.
He was raising funds to buy a portable and today announced that the shop, ABC-Online is back up and running, and soon will get started with the work of getting Norcia back online.

“We are a stubborn bunch, in this part of the world” – determination and gratitude, pigs and bonfires
The bad news is that the tremors STILL haven’t stopped. Another 4.4 yesterday with the epicentre near by.
The good news is that the town isn’t waiting to get things going again. The people of Norcia are truly resilient and the readiness to help of the people outside is inspiring. I know that I would not now be OK if it weren’t for you all. My readers have been so generous that really my biggest problem is boredom and homesickness.
